We started to look into the benefits of Salary Exchange late last year. We found that over 95% of small businesses weren’t taking advantage of the scheme, missing the opportunities to increase their workers’ take-home pay whilst saving the business money, savings that could be share with those employees via their workplace pension.
By now, small businesses typically understand their duties around workplace pensions; however, it’s challenging to roll out Salary Exchange across most of those pension schemes, as contribution levels are calculated using a method known as Qualifying Earnings. Husky has found a way to provide a simple, automated solution for delivering Salary Exchange that means small business owners can concentrate on their business and not the minutiae of pensions and payroll.
